CO4 Payroll Administrator

Main Purpose

Responsible for managing and operating the payroll system with the greatest level of accuracy and efficiency. This is a role that deals with confidential material daily. This role will be performed to meet relevant ethical, regulatory compliance and legal standards, having due regard for the policies and processes of the organisation, as well as legislative payroll practices.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Maintains payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data.
  • Answering staff questions about wages, deductions, attendance, time records and also pension and Brass queries
  • Maintains payroll operations by following policies and procedures
  • Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential.
  • New entrant and leaver procedures to be completed to meet payroll
  • Produce weekly reports to agreed deadlines
  • Process all statutory payments and deductions, including implementation of attachment of earnings orders and ensure that all guidelines are met.
  • Undertake all integrity checks to ensure information input by the team is authorised, accurate and completed within the deadlines.
  • Providing employment references
  • Supplemental reports and ad-hoc analysis requests.
  • Any other Ad Hoc duties as requested by Senior Management.

Minimum Requirements

  • Proven experience as a payroll specialist
  • Trustworthy with attention to confidentiality
  • Outstanding organizational ability with great attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good knowledge of Income Tax, National Insurance, SSP and SMP.
  • Knowledge of Workbrain and PSE payroll systems is highly desirable.

Shift Pattern

Working an average of 37 hours per week.

Monday - Friday, office hours.

 

Please note that interviews for this position will be held on the 17th/18th August and 24th/25th August 2022.
