About the job
To provide a high level of administrative support and advice to the Security Management team and Rail Community Office Grade to ensure the teams smooth running and operation.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Produce, maintain and distribute the Rail Community Officer roster.
- Administration of all security department competency records and documentation.
- Management of attendance records of RCO's and security team staff.
- Minute taking at meetings when required.
- Ordering of stores equipment and uniform for the RCO's.
- Processing and distribution of the security ID passes for station tenants and contractors.
- Complete audits at station tenancies on a 6 month frequency to ensure tenant ID passes are compliant with records.
- Undertaking administration of the external security guarding contract.
- Filing and office management duties.
- Assist with the planning of joint operations with other grades and the BTP.
- Liaise with the RCO team leaders and the grade management to plan and book training.
- Liaise with the Occupational Health Unit to book appointments.
- Complete and submit security department KPI's at the end of each period.
- Additional tasks as specified by the security management team applicable to the role.
- Prepare and complete purchase orders.
- Administer the agreed RCO annual leave agreement as part of the roster.
- Provide support to the Evidence Gathering team if/when required.
You'll need:
- Resilience and the ability to cope in a pressured environment
- Very good communication skills
- Good general standard of education.
- Good level of numeracy
- IT literate
- Good knowledge of the railway environment
About the location:
South Western Railways HQ is based on the 4th Floor at South Bank Central, a stone's throw from the River Thames and a 10 minute walk from our busiest station, Waterloo. It is local to many well-known attractions, restaurants and retail facilities and is easily accessible by public transport.
Working Pattern:
On average you will work 37 hours per week, typically office hours.
